Models of Practice showcases a variety of video, distance education programs, and other initiatives committed to integrating Bright Futures and/or health promoting systems of care or practices designed to improve the lives of children.

If you have activities, initiatives, or resources that you would like included on this part of the website, please email (info@pediatricsinpractice.org) the following information to us:

  • History or background of the initiative
  • Description of activity (focus of activity; accomplishments)
  • Implementation (how is the activity implemented? what is the role of clinicians/educators, children, and family members?)
  • Evaluation (have your efforts been evaluated? what did this involve? key findings?)

Bright Futures Virginia: The goal of Bright Futures Virginia is to improve the health of children and adolescents in Virginia by increasing access to preventive health care. The overall objective of Bright Futures Virginia is to integrate Bright Futures guidelines into home visits, school settings, WIC programs and others. Bright Futures Virginia activities are supported in part with funds from Title V and Virginia Healthy Start Initiative. Please click here for an outline of activities.
