With
support from neighborhood and community agencies,
the South Madison Health and Family Center-Harambee
(SMHFC-H) was created to provide community-based,
culturally sensitive, comprehensive and coordinated
health and education services to serve, promote
and support healthy independent families and individuals.
This umbrella agency for human and health services
(housed at one site), includes Head Start, Planned
Parenthood, South Branch of Madison Public Library,
Early Childhood Family Enhancement Center, Madison
Community Health Center, Madison Dept. of Public
Health, and Dane County Dept. of Public Health.
