Bright Futures is dedicated to the principle
that every child deserves to be healthy and that optimal health
involves a trusting relationship among the health professional,
the child, the family, and the community as partners in health
practice.
Pediatrics
in Practice Health Promotion Curriculum is based on the
principles of Bright Futures, intending to advance MCH Leadership
Education in health promotion and Bright Futures.
Addressing
six core concepts -- partnership, communication, health promotion,
time management, education, and advocacy -- this curriculum will
facilitate effective patient interaction and care. Through these
concepts, Pediatrics in Practice is designed to increase
the teaching competency of MCH Professionals through faculty development
and to increase competency in health promotion through knowledge
acquisition and learning.
